Buckeye Barrister
1951-1953;1956-1958;1964-1970
Buckeye Barrister first appeared in April 1951 and was published irregularly by students for the Alumni Association of the College of Law until 1958. It was superseded by the Ohio State Law Record in 1958. The Buckeye Barrister resumed publication in 1964 as a mimeographed newsletter. In fall 1965, a separate publication known as the Buckeye Barrister (volume 2, no. 2) was also issued on newsprint in a larger format. Beginning with the winter 1966 issue, the newspaper absorbed the former alumni Law Record and was issued as the "Buckeye Barrister and Alumni Law Record," for the alumni and students of College of Law. In 1971, the Law Record resumed as a separate publication and the Student Bar Association announced plans to change the format of the Buckeye Barrister, issuing it as a mimeographed sheet directed exclusively toward students of the College of Law.

OSU Moritz Law Journals

Five legal journals are published by The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, under the direction of student editorial staff with faculty supervision. These leading publications publish innovative and relevant scholarly articles by law professors and legal scholars from across the country and around the world as well as student written notes and comments of professional interest to lawyers and policy makers.

Print copies of all five law journals are available in the Moritz Law Library. Current issues are available for browsing in the Library's Reserve Room on the 2nd floor. Bound volumes of older issues are shelved by call number in the 3rd floor stacks.

Online issues of all five law journals will soon be made available in OSU's Knowledge Bank institutional repository.

Title varies: Vols. 1-3 (1935-1937) as Law Journal of the Student Bar Association, Ohio State University; vols. 4-8 (1937-1942) as Ohio State University Law Journal. Publication was suspended in 1942; resumed in 1948 with volume 9.
Furthermore, an online supplement to the Ohio State Law Journal, was initiated in 2012.
The Ohio State Law Journal Sixth Circuit Review was launched in 2015 to provide practical scholarly articles on important issues, trends, and cases arising in the Sixth Circuit.
